Sue Ann's Story
Life
I've led a very interesting and complex life since my time at MHS. I've moved around the state of OK a couple of times, but eventually settled in Ada of all places. I married and had two children. Eleven years later, I divorced (with just cause) and I went back to college at ECU and earned a degree in English Education. Upon graduation I was hired at Ada High as a Sr. English teacher. Yes, I became an Ada Cougar. They jokingly call me their answer to the cultural diversity plan since I'm from Big Mac. When they give me that I simply remind them of POTAC and all is good. I've had a couple of 'buffaloes' join me over the years and we have just banded together. ha!! I went back to school (again) and got my Masters in counseling which is probably the degree I use the most. I am now the Adult Educ...Expand for more
ation Coordinator and Teacher for the System and the PCDC Education provider and liason. I really like the job I have now - it is what keeps me in Ada.
My daughter, Courtney, is 21 and has a baby daughter that is a mere carbon copy of herself - I've never seen anything like it. My son, Jayden, is 20 and traveling the US working for Atlantic Meeco with my nephew. Both of my kids are great and have greatly enriched my life.
I like to travel and have done so extensively. I plan to take more extended trips abroad as my job and life permits. I plan on going back to school soon to begin my PHD work in Psychology. But right now, I'm just enjoying the single life!
